Doucoure has become the latest target for the Reds after having a good season with Crystal Palace.
The midfielder had a standout Premier League debut season and recently won the Crystal Palace F.C. Player of the Year award.
The Malian international, who just joined the club last summer, is expected to fetch a high price from the Eagles, who are likely to hold out for more.
The midfielder moved to Palace from Lens for £22 million last summer and made 35 appearances across all competitions as Palace avoided relegation.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are also looking at other targets and have been linked with a move for Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia.
