AC Milan striker Divock Origi could reportedly return to the Premier League just one season after leaving Merseyside.
AC Milan have not seen the best of Divock Origi since he arrived on a free transfer from Liverpool. The Belgian has struggled to make any sustained impact, scoring just twice in his 27 appearances for the Rossineri.
Divock Origi has been disappointing in Milan
Milan boss Stefano Pioli obviously rotated the team last weekend for the visit of Empoli and the drop off in quality was evident as the game finished 0-0 and Divick Origi offered next to nothing in attack.
A front three of Alexis Saelemaekers, Ante Rebic and Origi barely threatened the Empoli backline and the Italian media are now floating the idea of a departure for Origi.
According to Calciomercato, a summer departure, after one season in Italy, ‘cannot be ruled out’.
If a move does materialize, Origi will not be short of Premier League suitors.
West Ham United, Crystal Palace, Leeds and long-term admirers and Wolves willlikely to be in the market for a new number nine.
Origi's Liverpool legacy
Origi is dearly beloved by Liverpool fans for his moments of magic as he has a penchant for popping up at precisely the right time.
From the winner against Everton to the famous Barcelona goal and the clincher in the 2019 Champions League final, he is revered around Anfield.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp called him a modern-day Liverpool ‘legend’.
“He is and will be for me, forever a Liverpool legend. One of the most important players I ever had,” Klopp said.

Chelsea and Manchester are also reportedly interested in Barella and it is unlikely that Inter Milan will turn down a big-money bid for their key midfielder if one arrives in the summer.
