Liverpool set PL record
In a comprehensive performance, Jurgen Klopp’s Reds saw off competition from the Blues with a remarkable 28 shots attempted.
Per Opta, the attempts were a joint record against Chelsea in the Premier League since the 2003/2004 season.
13 of those shots were on target, also another Premier League record against Pochettino’s men, with the Reds scoring four goals.
The statistics highlight Liverpool's dominance as they overwhelmed Chelsea's defence throughout the encounter, with the youngster, Bradley, who contributed three of the goals, the standout player on the night.
Despite the barrage of attempts, Chelsea only conceded four goals, with Liverpool’s Darwin Nunuez also setting another record against the visitors after he struck the woodwork on four different occasions.
Liverpool vs Chelsea: Match Brief
Liverpool dominated from start to finish, with Jota and Bradley firing them ahead before Nunez missed from 12 yards.
Summer signing Szoboszlai headed in a third from another beautiful Bradley move to make it 3-0, with Luis Diaz wrapping things up with a fourth late on.
Christopher Nkunku, meanwhile, came on to pull one back for the Blues, making the result more respectable for Pochettino’s battered Blues.
