The Pride of Benue boss is happy his side executed his plan and reserved special praise for matchwinner Kumaga Suur.
Lobi Stars coach Baba Ganaru has expressed happiness after his side picked their first away win of the season in the NPFL.
Ganaru's Pride of Benue defeated their host Abia Warriors 1-0 in a week three encounter at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Sunday.
Local boy and new signing Kumaga Suur was the hero for the Benue side as he scored the match winner in the second half.
The win was the first of the season on the road and their second victory in three matches in the new NPFL season.
Ganaru reveals tactic that shot down Warriors
Following the win in Umuahia, Lobi Stars spoke to the media where he revealed how his Pride of Benue side took all three points on the run.
According to the gaffer, the Stars arrived for their week three match with a proper counter attacking plan.
"Before the match i said we have come with a match plan to get the maximum points," he stated. "I thank God we've achieved it."
On how his side managed to keep the Ochendo Babes at bay for the duration of the game, Baba Ganaru added;
"If you look at the setup, we have set the team up the way we are going to play, attacking with conscious counter attacking, very disciplined in defense and it worked."
"Thank God for everything and the maximum three points," he added.
Ganaru praises 'street boy' Suur
Lobi Stars' first away win in the NPFL abridged season came courtesy of a goal off the boot of forward, Suur.
The young forward is a new signing at the Pride of Benue, who scouted him in the street of Benue before getting him to put pen to paper on a deal ahead of the new season.
Lobi's boss, Ganaru, was full of praise for his matchwinner who he said took his chance after two cameo shows.
"He's a young boy that we picked from the streets," Ganaru said of the forward.
"We are developing him. In the first game, we introduced him in the final 15 minutes and 30 minutes in the second match. His performance was very positive and he did very well. So, i decided to give him a chance to start (vs Warriors) and he has played himself (into the team)."
