Baker Lukooya scored four goals for his St. Lawrence University (SLAU) on Sunday to put pressure on Nicholas Mwere in the race for the golden boot in the FUFA Beach Soccer League.
SLAU entered the weekend in third place with nine points, three behind leaders Jinja Lions and early pace-setters Mutoola but capitalized on their two games at hand and the fact that the latter two were out of action to go top.
First, Lukooya and Nkuubi were on a rampage earlier in the day with a hattrick each as SLAU condemned Grace Church to a 7-4 beating.
Then, they turned their guns on Kiringete in a 4-1 win that catapulted the defending champions to the top of the table.
