The Kiambu county side reached the Last 8 after eliminating MacMillan Queens.

Gaspo Women FC midfielder Lydia Waganda says she is relishing the upcoming clash against Nakuru City Queens as the sides prepare to lock horns for the second time this season.

The Kiambi County side and Nakuru City Queens are putting in final preparations for the titanic FKF Women's Cup quarter-final clash on Sunday at ASK Show Ground.

The two teams met earlier this season in an FKF Women's Premier League clash, where they played to a goalless draw .

"In the Women's Cup, you just need to win by one goal to proceed to the next stage. All I can tell Nakuru is that we are coming for you, and we are ready.

"You are on the good side, but we are so well prepared for the task ahead. We are coming for the battle. I believe we will emerge victorious," she said.

Gaspo booked the last eight spot after beating Division One side MacMillan Queens 3-0, whereas City Queens walloped Young Bullets 6-1.

City Queens go into the fixture on the back of a 1-1 draw against Thika Queens. In the opposite corner, Gaspo got their fourth consecutive win after recording a 3-0 victory over Zetech Sparks.

Gaspo Queens were disqualified from the tournament's last edition at the semi-final stage for fielding an ineligible player in the quarters match against Kayole Starlets.

The player, identified as Iddah Adhiambo, was regarded to have yet to register with the Gaspo squad for the tournament.

Ulinzi Starlets are the Women's Cup champions, having won the title in 2021 after beating Thika Queens 9-8 in post-match penalties.
