However, as always spirited, Kampala Queens returned for the second half energized and broke the deadlock in the 51st minute through Shamirah Nalugya.
Kampala Queens could not hold on to their lead for so long. Finally, in the 62nd minute, the visitors found an equalizer through Husna Mpanja.
Makerere University not only halted Kampala Queens' perfect run, but a point was also vital in their struggle to survive relegation.
The Queens, still unbeaten, took their tally to 34 points on top of the 10-team FWSL log after 12 games.
On the other hand, Makerere remained ninth with 12 points, a single point below the red zone.
Up next is a visit to Lubaga for Kampala Queens to take on Uganda Martyrs on Sunday, March 13, while Makerere will visit Kawempe Muslims on the same day.
