The worst-kept secret has been made official; Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed the departure of midfielder Andile Jali from the club.
The announcement, made on Saturday afternoon through a club media release, revealed that Jali's contract had been terminated but appreciated Jali's contribution for the period he has spent at the club.
"The contract between Sundowns and Andile jail, which was due to expire at the end of the current season, has been terminated by mutual consent," read part of the statement.
"We thank Andile for his contribution and wish him well for the future; the club and its supporters will fondly remember his performance for Ka Bo Yellow."
The combative midfielder joined Masandawana in June 2018 and has spent the past five seasons at the club; during his stay, Jali has featured in 142 matches and won the Dstv Premiership on five occasions.
Last season was probably Andile Jali's best in a Sundowns shirt; the Bafana Bafana midfielder scooped the Midfielder of the Season award, the MTN8 last man standing ward, and the Nedbank Cup Player of the Tournament award.

Reports had indicated last month that the 36-year-old was holding talks with the club to renew his contract with his agent Steve Kapelushnick at one point publicly saying he was receiving several offers from local suitors, including Tanzania and North Africa.
The 33-year-old has been on the sidelines at Chloorkop since February when he stopped training with the side after allegedly reporting to training under the influence of alcohol.
With interests coming from within the Dstv Premiership, it remains to be seen where Jali will ply his trade from next season.
