Manchester City were at their dominant best as they beat Arsenal 4-1 in a Premier League top of the table clash.

On an evening where both sides had divergent efforts, Pulse Sports Uganda rates how each player performed.

Manchester City

Ederson - 06

Little to do in the first half as Arsenal barely threatened. Great ball distribution. Had nothing to do for Rob Holding's goal.

Kyle Walker - 07

Had Martinelli for the entire first half, linked with Benardo Silva well in attack. Steady second half.

Manuel Akanji - 06

Kept Saka quiet for the entire game in an unfamiliar position at the left side of the defence.

Ruben Diaz - 06

Dealt with the little that came his way in the first half. Cynical challenge at the stroke of halftime on White. Stout in the second half before conceding to Holding.

John Stones - 07.

Calm and collected in his recent role. Well-taken header to give City a 2-0 lead.

Rodri - 07

Calm as ever, protected his defence well, yet he linked the attack superbly.

Ikay Gundogan - 07

Ran the show in midfield alongside Rodri. Set up Haaland in the first half before the Norwegian got denied by Ramsdale.

Kevin De Bruyne - 09

Perfect first half for the Belgian

A goal and an assist, yet his entire play was superb. Another goal in the second half.

Bernado Silva - 07

A menace to the Arsenal backline all evening. His ability to hold the ball is not appreciated enough.

Jack Grealish - 06

Quiet evening as par his recent standards, but ran White down the left wing.

Erling Haaland - 09

Courtsey Image

Missed a host of chances but scored at the death. Set up two goals for De Bruyne.

Substitutions:

Mahrez - 05

Quiet off the bench as the rest had already done the damage. Good runout.

Julian Alvarez - 05

Came in for De Bruyne, and while he didn't have his impact, he worked hard.

Phil Foden - 06

Late cameo. Set Haaland's goal.

Arsenal.

Aaron Ramsdale - 06

Many thought he could have done better for City's first goal. He however made over five top saves to limit the damage.

Ben White - 05

Made a great last ditch save to deny De Bruyne a first half brace. No real impact after that.

Zincheko - 04

A day to forget on his return to the Etihad. No impact at either side of the pitch.

Gabriel Magahlaes - 05

Part of a defence that worked hard but got worked by a quality City attack. Misses his partner, William Saliba.

Rob Holding - 04

The defender was clearly lightweight against the monstrous Haaland. Poor defensive display on an evening to forget. Tried to acquit himself with a consolation.

Thomas Partey - 05

Didn't lack effort, but overworked by the City midfield. Has had so many better nights.

Granit Xhaka - 04

No effort, no fight and often got targeted as he, on a number occassions lost his cool. Came off for Jorginho.

Martin Odegaard - 04

Quiet evening at the Etihad for Arsenal's captain. He didn't influence proceedings at any point. Hooked off for Smith Rowe.

Bukayo Saka - 04

A night where he was a no show as he failed to threaten Pep Guardiola's backline. Kept quiet on the night by Akanji.

Gabriel Martinelli - 03

One struggles to recall what Martinelli did for his time on the pitch. Kept at bay by Walker.

Gabriel Jesus - 05

Tireless like ever from the Brazilian. He lacked service and didn't threaten Ederson even once.

Substitutions

Trossard - 04

No influence off the bench. Damage had been done.

Jorginho - 05

Came on for Partey and calmed things a bit.

Emile Smith Rowe - 04

No impact.

Reiss Nelson - 06

Great energy.

Eddie Nketiah - 05

Great effort.
