After his Juventus contract was terminated, Paul Pogba has several options for his next move

Paul Pogba's career has seen its share of highs and lows, and the recent termination of his Juventus contract has left the Frenchman at a crossroads.

Despite his struggles, including an 18-month ban for an anti-doping violation, which was initially four years, Pogba remains a world-class talent determined to return to top-tier football.

Here is a look at five clubs that could provide the perfect stage for his comeback.

5 Clubs Pogba could join

Manchester United

Having come through the club’s academy, they hold a special place in Pogba’s heart. Pogba returned to Manchester United in 2016 after the end of his first Juventus spell and could do so again after his second spell.

After a record-breaking return in 2016, his time at Old Trafford was marked by flashes of brilliance before he left in 2022.

Reports suggest Pogba will train at Carrington during his free agency, much like Jonny Evans did before re-signing with United in 2023, and the France international could earn a place if he can impress incoming manager Ruben Amorim.

Inter Miami

Since his ban was commuted to 18 months, Pogba has been training privately in Miami, the home of David Beckham’s Inter Miami side.

The team already features Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba and could add Pogba to the star-studded roster.

Pogba’s return to the pitch in March would perfectly suit Inter Miami, as the 2025 MLS season starts in late February.

Al Ittihad

Rumours of a possible move to the Saudi Pro League intensified in July 2023 after the Frenchman was seen in Saudi Arabia and even posted pictures of himself in facilities of Al Ittihad.

Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio alleged that Pogba was offered a whopping €100 million per season to sign for Al Ittihad then, although the deal never materialised.

Pogba’s return to football could reignite Al Ittihad’s interest in the World Cup winner, although he would likely attract a much lower salary than he was initially offered.

Fenerbahce

Pogba has also been linked with a surprise move to Fenerbahce in the Turkish Super Lig.

Fenerbahce is currently coached by Jose Mourinho, who brought Pogba back to Manchester United in 2016 as one of his first signings, so a reunion with a familiar face could help the Frenchman revitalise his career.

The Super Lig has also become a league of second chances for many ex-Serie A stars, including Victor Osimhen, Mauro Icardi, Edin Dzeko, Sofyan Amrabat, and Dries Mertens.

Marseille

Returning to his native France could prove a tempting move for Pogba. The former Manchester United midfielder was told by his former Juventus and France teammate Patrice Evra to consider making a move to Ligue 1 with Marseille following his contract termination.

Pogba also appeared open to the suggestion, refusing to rule out the possibility of returning to France to reignite his career after serving his ban.
