Hot commodity Eze
The 25-year-old British-Nigerian joined Crystal Palace from Queens Park Rangers in the summer of 2020 for a reported €17.8 million fee and has been regularly linked away from the Eagles in multiple transfer windows.
However, injuries and inconsistent performances prevented any club from seriously committing. That is not the case this summer window, as he is coming off the back of an incredible season in which he scored 11 goals and provided four assists in 27 games, his best tally since joining the club.
This has put him on the radar of a number of top clubs, chiefly Tottenham Hotspur. However, the Red Devils are now said to have joined the race.
Man United enter the race
According to a report from the Sun, the Red Devils are set their sights on the former Arsenal Youth team player.
However, they will have problems triggering his £60 million release clause, as they are close to going over the acceptable limits of the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) and will have to sell to make a move. Spurs, on the other hand, are in a more healthy financial position.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils leadership is yet to make a decision about Erik ten Hag's future, as they are currently doing a comprehensive review of the recently-concluded season.
