Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag referenced the Manchester united project, despite sack rumours.
Despite reports that he will be sacked regardless of the outcome of the FA Cup final, Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag continues to look to the future, for which he is the manager of the club.
Overcoming incredible odds, Ten Hag led Manchester United to FA Cup victory over Manchester City. In a repeat of last year's final, in which they lost 2-1, Ten Hag's team returned the favour, beating Pep Guardiola’s team with the same scoreline.

What Ten Hag said
"I don’t know. The only thing I’m doing is preparing my team, developing my team. This is a project for me,” he said, per the BBC. “When I came in I can say it was a mess. Now we are better. We are not where we want to be.
"Football is about winning trophies. I want to play the best football, dynamic, attacking football but in the end you have to win games and trophies. That’s the menaltaty we brought in. This was our one opportunity and we did it. I‘m very proud of the players and staff."

Erik ten Hag on Kobbie Mainoo
Manchester United's youngsters fueled their success against Manchester City, specifically Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo, who scored the goals for Ten Hag's side.
Mainoo has had a brilliant breakout season, and following the final, Erik ten Hag sang his praises.
"He was really so enjoyable to watch. At his age. He’s an example. We wanted him to come in and he got a bad injury in pre-season."
He, however, cautions with the hype, calling for calm: "I think we have to keep it calm. Here in England you’re very good to push players too high and then you hammer them with one or two bad performances."
