Manchester United are also interested in signing Diomande, with manager Ruben Amorim a keen admirer of the player. However, Enzo Maresca’s side are rumoured to be leading the race for his signature.
Diomande is a versatile defender who can play at centre-back or right-back. He is strong, athletic and good on the ball. He would be a valuable addition to any Premier League club.
Chelsea are looking to strengthen their defence this summer and Diomande is seen as a possible addition with Trevoh Chalobah likely to be sold and Wesley Fofana still struggling with injury.
