FOOTBALL Real Madrid eclipses Manchester City to regain status as richest club
Madrid generated a record revenue of 831m euros (Ksh 144.5 billion) to top their Money League study from the 2022-23 season.
According to Fabrizio on X, "Manchester City finally confirmed Claudio Echeverri's deal from River Plate. €14.5m net fixed fee to River.
"€9m add-ons performance-related. Add-ons only related to player, NOT club titles. Staying on loan at River until December 2024."
His performances, particularly as captain of Argentina at the Under-17 World Cup, have marked him as a player of high potential. Notably, he scored a hat-trick in the quarter-final win over Brazil.
The Loan Back to River Plate
As part of the deal, Echeverri will remain on loan at River Plate until January 2025. This decision reflects Manchester City's strategy of investing in young talents and allowing them to develop further at their current clubs.
River Plate, managed by former City defender Martin Demichelis, will continue to nurture Echeverri's skills for another year, providing him with a platform to grow and gain more first-team experience before he makes the move to Manchester City.
