Osimhen to Galatasaray
Pulse Sports reported that Osimhen is close to joining Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray after failing to seal an exit from Napoli before the close of the European transfer window.
With Turkey's player market still open, the Cim-Bom have capitalised and convinced Napoli and Osimhen to take the player on a season-long loan.
As Pulse Sports reported, the deal will be a dry one-year loan, with Galatasaray covering €9-10 million of Osimhen's salary.
Gundogan reacts
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano announced the deal on his Instagram page, and Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan expressed his shock in the comment section.
The 33-year-old midfielder recently returned to the Premier League after a season at Barcelona. Before joining Manchester City, Gundogan, who is of Turkish descent, was linked with a move to the Super Lig.
Pulse Sports reported that Fenerbahce's boss Jose Mourinho pressed for the Yellow Canary to sign him, but the former Germany international opted for a return to Manchester City.
Gundogan has previously expressed his desire to play in the Turkish top flight, and while it is unlike that will happen this season, as he signed a one-year contract with the Cityzens, he is expected to make a move there in the future.
