Following up on Pulse Sport report from the transfer yesterday after David Ornstein’s Twitter, the north London team raised the stakes on Tuesday night by making a club-record offer of £100 million plus an additional £5 million in add-ons.
City have now withdrawn from the competition for the 24-year-old as a result of that offer, giving Mikel Arteta and Arsenal a significant advantage in their pursuit of their top target.

According to Football London, West Ham and Arsenal intend to hold additional talks today in an effort to strike a deal about the specifics of the transfer, with the amount of time it will take to pay the fixed £100 million cost being the last sticking point.
