De Ligt joins Manchester United
The Red Devils announced via their official channels that they have completed the signing of the Dutch Defender from the Bundesliga record champions.
De Ligt, 26, joined Bayern from Juventus in the summer of 2022 but struggled to establish himself in Bavaria. He has now reunited with his former manager, Erik ten Hag, with whom he played his best football, at Ajax.
The Athletic reports that the total package of the deal is worth €50 million, with a €45 guaranteed fee and another €5 million in add-ons. He signed a five-year contract with the Red Devils, with the option of an additional year. He is expected to replace Raphael Varane, who left the club at the end of his contract.
Manchester United sign Mazraoui
Along with De Ligt from Bayern Munich, the Red Devils signed Moroccan full-back Mazraoui. Mazraoui, like De Ligt, has also previously played under Ten Hag.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the deal is worth €20 million, with €15 million guaranteed plus another €5 million in add-ons. He signed a four-year deal, with the option of an additional year. Mazraoui is expected to replace Aaron Wan Bissaka, who recently completed a move to fellow Premier League side West Ham.
