The right-back decided to clear the bad omen of last season’s poor campaign by embracing the unconventional method while on holiday in Kingston, Jamaica.
Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka went through spiritual cleansing in Jamaica during his visit to the country.
The right-back was pictured going through the traditional ritual that saw him soaked in a white towel.
Initial reports claimed that Wan-Bissaka was in Congo where he practiced the kioko ceremony according to the custom of Bakongo (Congolese), to have protection, luck and permission to do many things.

Transfer: Chelsea join Manchester United in race to sign Europa League hattrick hero Ademola Lookman
Chelsea have entered the race to sign Europa League hero following an impressive season with Atalanta.
Wan-Bissaka had been in the DR Congo for holidays as he interacted with locals trying to understand his roots.
Before leaving the DRC, he went to Kongo-centrale to the village of his ancestors in Sonabata to learn about his origin.
Born in London, to parents of Congolese descent, the defender has represented England at U20 and U21 levels but has never received a call-up to the senior team.
He had earlier been invited by DRC to represent the country but he turned down the overtures as he waited for an opportunity from England.
However, when it became clear he was not getting ahead of the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kyle Walker, Reece James and Kieran Trippier, he tried to switch to Congo but the country’s Football Association rebuffed his attempts.
The Congolese felt the defender disrespected them by turning down previous invitations, leaving him in international limbo.
