The Red Devils are in the market for a long-term striker as they attempt to prepare for a title challenge next season.
Manchester United have included Tammy Abraham in their list of potential striking options this summer.
United are expected to be in the market for a quality centre-forward when the transfer window opens later this year.
Manchester United turn to Abraham
The Red Devils’ number one target is Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen. Osimhen has been the star of Serie A this season, with 17 league goals in 18 matches for Napoli.
However, the 24-year-old will likely cost Man Utd a fortune, with Napoli expected to demand a fee in excess of €100m
As a result, United are keeping their options open, and have identified AS Roma striker Abraham as an option.
Abraham fits United's profile
Abraham also plays in Serie A with a similar frame as Osimhen, which makes him an ideal alternative for United.
The 25-year-old will also cost less than Osimhen, making him an ideal option for the Red Devils.
Although Abraham has not lit the league on fire like Osimhen this season, the England international had a fantastic year last season.
Abraham scored 17 goals in 37 league games for Roma last season, with another nine in the UEFA Europa Conference League. This season, he has six goals and four assists in 22 league games for Jose Mourinho’s men.
However, it remains to be seen if Roma will be willing to part ways with the man they signed from Chelsea last season. Abraham still has three years left on his contract at the Stadio Olimpico.
