Erik ten Hag says his Manchester United players must bounce back after their weekend defeat to Manchester City.
Manchester United suffered their 7th defeat of the season in the humiliating 3-0 reverse to neighbours Manchester City over the weekend.
Despite mounting pressure on Ten Hag and his players, the United boss believes his team can bounce back from recent difficulties.
Writing in his program notes ahead of the Carabao Cup clash against Newcastle, Ten Hag said:
"While this has not been the start to the season that we had all hoped for, I am certain that we have the talent and attitude as a collective to move in the right direction.
I believe that it is only a matter of time before we are showing our true selves. It will come, I am certain.
"I continue to believe in these players and am confident we will bounce back after a difficult start to the season.
