FA Cup winners Manchester United are reportedly keen on boosting their attack ahead of next season and have identified a prime target.

Manchester United are reportedly interested in Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins but have been told they must pay through the roof to sign the red-hot striker this summer.

The 28-year-old has been in excellent form under Unai Emery this season in the Premier League, scoring 19 goals and contributing 13 assists in just 37 appearances to help fire the Villans into the Champions League next term.

The Red Devils will lose Anthony Martial this summer, leaving them with Rasmus Hojlund as the only senior centre-forward at the club.

Ollie Watkins to Manchester United?

According to former Villa man Alan Hutton (via TalkSport), Villa would consider a big-money offer it was made this summer.

“It would have to be massive,” Hutton told Villa News.

“He’s 28 years old now, Villa are in the Champions League and he signed a new contract not that long ago. The money would have to be through the roof for him to go."

“He has had an excellent season, he’s been unplayable at times so I do understand why teams like Manchester United are trying to get him."

Red Devils co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is keen to add to the squad this summer, and it promises to be a busy transfer window at Old Trafford.
