Manchester United have a weekly wage bill of well over £4 million for first-team players only, here’s a breakdown of how each player in the squad earns.
Manchester United enjoyed a reasonably successful 2022/23 season with manager Erik Ten Hag showing significant progress in his debut campaign.
United made a return to Champions League football with a third-place finish in the Premier League with 75 points, a drastic improvement on last season’s sixth-place and 58 points.
The Red Devils also won the EFL Cup, beating Newcastle United in the final to secure their first trophy since 2017.
Despite losing the FA Cup final to rivals and treble-winners Manchester City, it appears the good vibes are back at Old Trafford under Erik Ten Hag.
The club paid the wages of 30 first-team players this season including some that were out on loan, taking their total wage bill to £4,237,500 per week.
Who is the highest-paid player at Manchester United?
At the time of writing in June 2023, David De Gea is currently the highest earner at Manchester United.
The Spanish goalkeeper banks £375,000 a week on his current Manchester United contract which was signed in September 2019 and will expire on June 30, 2023, less than two weeks from the time of writing.

The 32-year-old has been named Manchester United Player of the Season four times, won two Premier League Golden Gloves and was even named in the FIFPro World XI for 2018.
