Qatari billionaire Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani has reportedly withdrawn from the race to purchase Manchester United.
The Glazer family announced they were willing to listen to offers for Manchester United in November 2022, and almost a year later, the American owners have deemed all bids unacceptable.
British billionaire businessman Sir Jim Ratcliffe was also bidding to rival Sheikh Jassim but neither party has been able to reach an agreement till now.
Sheikh Jassim withdraws Manchester United bid
Sheikh Jassim's camp have always maintained he was only interested in buying 100% of the club. Ratcliffe, meanwhile, wanted a majority stake.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Sheikh Jassim's latest offer, standing at around £5billion was rejected by the Glazers and he will now withdraw his interest in purchasing the club.
