Manchester United midfielder Marcel Sabitzer will miss the remainder of the season after picking up a knee injury.
Marcel Sabitzer joined Manchester United on loan from Bayern Munich in January and has scored three goals in 18 appearances for the club.
The Austrian international was signed at the last minute after Christian Eriksen suffered an injury that ruled him out for three months.
Sabitzer out for the season
United confirmed the news of Sabitzer's injury with a statement posted on the club's official website on Monday, stating:
"Marcel Sabitzer has suffered a meniscal injury which will, unfortunately, rule him out for the remainder of the season."

Big picture
With Sabitzer’s loan deal up at the end of the campaign, he may have made his last appearance for United. There have been no signs of United attempting to negotiate an outright buy and just like the forward Wout Weghorst, who also arrived in January, this could be the end.
