TRANSFERS Manchester United to make bid for De Gea’s replacement
Erik Ten Hag is said to be already impressed by United’s target.
However, it is understood Erik Ten Hag is pissed off with the 26-year-old who left the club just when he became manager of the Red Devils.
Henderson spent two years sitting on the bench and became frustrated when he failed to break into the first team.
It got to the point the Englishman did not want Ten Hag to see him train and quickly forced a move on loan to Nottingham Forest.
He told talkSPORT:
“I didn't really want the manager to see me in training because I knew he'd probably want to keep me.
“I told all the hierarchy: "I need to go and play football. I don't want to be playing second fiddle."
“And it panned out so I was almost gone before the manager came in.”
