Manchester United are looking anything but confident at the moment after a shaky start to the season and face an in-form Taiwo Awoniyi and his Nottingham Forest team.
Manchester United will put their impressive home record under Erik Ten Hag on the line again when they host Taiwo Awoniyi’s Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford this weekend.
The Red Devils have had a week to forget on and off the pitch following the defeat at Tottenham and the announcement of Mason Greenwood’s departure from the club after a six-month internal investigation.

Osimhen better than ex-Manchester United No 7- Former Napoli star
Osimhen’s profile has been on the rise since he joined Napoli from Ligue 1 side Lille in the summer of 2020.
United and their manager, Ten Hag, will be hoping for redemption with a solid performance and win against Forest, who will be banking on the red-hot form of their Nigerian striker Awoniyi to add to the misery of their hosts.
Manchester United vs Nottingham Forest: Preview
Both teams go into this weekend’s clash at the back of contrasting results the last time but the home side will be banking on a 30-match unbeaten record at home against the Tees.
United suffered a painful 2-0 loss in London to Tottenham while Forest saw off newly promoted Sheffield United 2-1 to get off the mark for the new campaign.
The home side will want a quick return to winning ways against a Forest side looking to add to their problems.
However, United remain favourites for this particular fixture when you consider the head-to-head battles.
The Red Devils are unbeaten in the last 10 matches against Forest, who have lost all the matches in that run including the four matches between the two teams across all competitions last season.
Key Talking point
Ten Hag will be hoping for more of the same when they step on the pitch this Saturday, but for the visitors, all eyes will be on Nigerian striker, Awoniyi, who is on the verge of history and a homecoming for Anthony Elanga, who departed United this summer.
Awoniyi was on the score sheet as the Tricky Tees overcame Sheffield last weekend, with that goal a record-equalling one as he joined Stand Collymore as the players to have scored in six successive Premier League matches for Forest.
The 26-year-old will hope for another goal this weekend which could see him equal a record only two Africans have managed, Mohamed Salah, and Emmanuel Adebayor, who are the only players to have scored in seven consecutive matches.
Time of the match
Manchester United and Nottingham Forest will take to the pitch at 3 p.m. Nigerian time.
It is one of four matches slated for goal rush on Saturday in the Premier League.
Where to watch the game
Fans and followers of both clubs and Awoniyi can watch this potentially intense match on SuperSport or DStv Stream.
There will also be additional updates before, during and after the clash on Pulse Sports' social media handles.
