Marcus Rashford has given his opinion on the best player in the Premier League heading into the new season.
Manchester United talisman Marcus Rashford has named Norway and Manchester City goal-machine Erling Haaland as the best player in the Premier League.
Rashford names Haaland as best in the PL
Haaland, was incredible in his debut season, tearing up record after record and finishing the season with 36 goals and eight assists in 35 league appearances.
The 23-year-old was hugely important as Pep Guardiola's men won the treble, earning him arguably the greatest debut season in recent history.
While Rashford acknowledged Haaland's unbelievable exploits, he picked De Bruyne as the best player in the Premier League in the seasons before Haaland arrived.
Speaking on The Overlap, the Red Devils striker said:
"The best player in the Premier League right now? It was definitely Haaland last season but over the last four-five years it has been Kevin De Bruyne."
De Bruyne, 32, has been unbelievable for City since arriving from VfL Wolfsburg for £55 million in 2015.
He has won 15 trophies in his 8 years at the club, including 5 Premier League titles.
