In an exciting turn of events for Nigerian football, the champions of the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, are set to receive substantial prize money.

The 31-year-old disclosed this during a podcast section hosted by former Warri Wolves Player and Nigerian Beach soccer legend, Abu Azeez.
"I say any Nigerian coaches dey collect money from players, i know dem well well but i know go call their names, dey plenty,' he said in pidgin during the podcast.
He continued, "They are saying they helping players , Come and sign this contract, you will see different copies and when you ask for your copy, they will say its with NFF that they will send it back to you."

NPFL champions Enyimba set to commence African Football League next month
Nigeria's Enyimba will hope for a better representation of the country in the African Football League when they welcome Wydad Casablanca in Uyo.
He scored nine goals for Enyimba in the CAF Champions League as well.
“My first season with Enyimba in 2014 was the best in my career in the NPFL. Everything worked for me despite not being the main striker for Enyimba," he said.
He was called up to a friendly match between Ghanaian and Nigerian sides playing at home in November 2014. He entered the game as a 45th-minute substitute for the national team.
