At 36 points, Maroons FC is assured of their status next season’s StarTimes Uganda Premier League but coach Mohammed Senfuma is asking for more.

Maroons could end Tuesday in the top four of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League if they pick a positive against Gaddafi in Jinja.

The Prison-warders had been touted to struggle this season after gaining promotion back to the top flight but have surprised many with their performances.

At 36 points, the Warders are assured of their status next season but coach Mohammed Senfuma is asking for more.

“We want to do better and end the season in a good position, possibly the top four, so that means we still have to push harder,” Senfuma told Pulse Sports.

Teamwork

Maroons take their challenge to Jinja to face a Gaddafi side that has failed to win their last four games with three consecutive losses to Arua Hill, Vipers and KCCA.

Senfuma has also attributed the team’s success to teamwork that has seen striker Fred Amaku and goalkeeper Simon Tamale sparkle.

“We want to go and get the results to push us further. I want to thank our run on the team that has been very cooperative for us to achieve the results,” he added.

Maroons will face Blacks Power, UPDF and URA in the other remaining games to end the season.
