Marseille’s improved bid
Sky Sports provided an update on Nketiah's departure, noting that while Marseille's fresh proposal wasn't quite up to par, things were still looking hopeful.
According to Sky Sports, “Marseille have returned with an improved offer worth in the region of £17m for Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah 🔵
“It's understood Marseille's package is closer to Arsenal's valuation and payment structure.”
More changes have occurred during the night, this time at Arsenal with Marseille offering roughly £17 million for Eddie Nketiah.
There is cautious optimism that an agreement may be made because the package is more in line with Arsenal’s demand.
The Arsenal star is close to joining Mason Greenwood who recently joined the French side from Manchester United at Marseille.
Nketiah is presently touring the USA with the Arsenal team and has played in both of their preseason-friendly games.
The England international could join Emile Smith-Rowe who joined Fulham out of the club as the Gunners look to bring in new players for the new season.
