BUL has won only one out of their last six fixtures before a change of guard in the coaching setup that saw Alex Isabirye cross over to Vipers and Simeone Masaba take charge.

BUL FC is doing relatively well and on course to defend their Uganda Cup title but has struggled of late in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

The team won only one out of their last six fixtures before a change of guard in the coaching setup that saw Alex Isabirye cross over to Vipers and Simeone Masaba take charge.

Isabirye left immediately after eliminating Villa from the round of 32 in a replayed match while Masaba propelled the side through to the last eight after overcoming Onduparaka.

Masaba hopes the team can carry their Cup form to Lira as they take on Villa for the fourth time this season.

“We’ve prepared well as we tried to work on a few things because we didn’t start the league well,” Masaba said about the team’s preparations ahead of his League debut.

“I believe the two wins over SC Villa and Ondupararka in the league have boosted our morale to go and get points,” he added.

Masaba will be without George Kasonko, Ronald Otti and Reagan Kalyowa who are injured while Ibrahim Nsiimbe serves a suspension.

This will be SC Villa’s fifth and final match to host at the Akibua Memorial Stadium in Lira as they complete their punishment.
