The Manchester United academy graduate has spoken in front of camera for the first time since being arrested in 2022.
Mason Greenwood has spoken in front of a camera for the first time since 2022 after being unveiled as an on-loan Getafe player for the season.
The talented 22-year-old winger sent the club’s fans a heartfelt message, filming himself on a camera before the video was posted on the club’s X (formerly Twitter) handle.
The Spanish club will not be paying a fee for the English forward but will cover a small contribution on his wages for the duration of the loan.
Greenwood has not played competitive football since January 2022 after he was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including attempted rape.
The 21-year-old was subsequently suspended by the club, however, in February the Crown Prosecution Service dropped the charges after key witnesses withdrew and new material came to light.
