Kenyan footballers plying their trade abroad registered mixed-bag results.
Kenyan international Masud Juma made another appearance for his Al-Faisaly side in the 3-1 defeat to Al Akhdoud while Vincent Harper emerged victorious with Eastleigh.
Vincent Harper
The Kenyan defender was handed a start as his Eastleigh side claimed a hard fought 1-0 win over Dagenham & Redbridge in the English National League.
Victory enabled Eastleigh to move level with Boreham Wood who currently occupy the final Promotion Playoff slot as the club continues to pursue their League Two quest.
Eastleigh were on the ascendency from the on set and took just six minutes to break the deadlock through Danny Whitehall who held his nerve to convert the spot kick.
The goal proved to the match winner in the tightly contested clash as Eastleigh managed to pip Dagenham & Redbridge on the log.
Masud Juma
The former Cape Town City forward featured for Al-Faisaly as they suffered a 3-1 loss at the hands of Al Akhdoud in the Saudi Arabian second tier league.
Ousmane Barry opened the scoring for Al Akhdoud in first half stoppage time to ensure his side went into the break with the slender 1-0 lead.
Barry picked up from where he left from in the opening half as he sealed his brace eight minutes after the hour mark with Rossi pulling one back for Al-Faisaly.
Al Akhdoud however restored their two goal cushion in the 83rd minute through Burhan Hakimi as they went on to collect three crucial points.
