Tusker FC coach has broken his silence on the referee’s decision over a late goal Jackson Macharia scored against the 'Sugar Millers'
Tusker FC coach Robert Matano insisted they were deprived of a goal during their Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) match against Nzoia Sugar at Sudi Stadium in Bungoma on Saturday.
Nzoia secured maximum points courtesy of a first-half penalty that former Kenya Police midfielder James Kibande converted after Tusker defender Charles Momanyi brought down Hasan Beja inside the area.
The Brewers thought they had found an equalizer in the match's closing stages when second-half substitute Jackson Macharia placed the ball into the back of the net, but referee Kevin Amoi chalked off the goal.

FKF PL Tusker cede top spot to Gor Mahia after loss to Nzoia
The game had to start late after the kick-off time was delayed following a heavy downpour in Bungoma.
Speaking after the game coach Matano, however, said the disallowed goal should have stood.
"We started very slow in the first stanza, but we picked ourselves up in the second period; however, the referee denied us a clear goal.
The Nzoia goalkeeper collided with his defender in the buildup, and we don't understand why he ruled that against us," Matano told reporters after the match.

The Northern-Irish tactician revealed that his players played well and got a deserved three points after withstanding slippery conditions that essentially prevented the game from finding any sort of rhythm.
Matano, however, accepted the result and said they would shift focus to their next league match on Wednesday.
"We have accepted defeat, I can't blame the weather conditions, we lost many scoring chances, and we are going to rectify that before our next game against KCB," he added.
