The gaffer in no uncertain terms, made his feelings clear after the striker missed a flurry of chances.

Tusker FC head coach Robert Matano has torn into David Majak for squandering numerous chances as they missed the chance to return to the top of the league following a 1-1 draw with Posta Rangers.

The South Sudanese striker came on as a substitute and had a glorious opportunity to net a goal that would have gifted them all three points to return them to the top of the league, but he failed to make his chances pay.

“We lost a win but all in all, we will fight till the end,” he said. “Our strikers, especially Majak, lost a lot of chances,” he added.

“He was too fast and took things for granted. You cannot get those kinds of chances and lose. If Posta created those kinds of chances, they would have taken them. That is our undoing and biggest undoing.”

Matano however, remains optimistic that Tusker can win the league. “We are not clinical enough but we are going to win the league.”

The gaffer has, however, taken the positives in the fact that his boys showed character and fighting spirit to at least force a draw.

“I am happy because you do not lose a game in the first half but rather in the second half. You just realize your mistakes, compose yourself and then come back strong.

“It is a part of the game. When you are down, you have to compose yourself when you come up. We came up well and got the equalizer but we should have gotten the winner.”

Tusker are second on 67 points, one behind Gor Mahia who are on 68 points as they lost 3-2 to Kakamega Homeboyz at Kasarani and will need to beat Vihiga Bullets in Mumias and hope that Gor fail to beat Nairobi City Stars to stand a chance of winning the league.
