Lwesibawa together with eight others were suspended for 90 days by FUFA as the body continued investigations into allegations of match-fixing and manipulation of football competition results.

Godfrey Lwesibawa has calmed his supporters as he asked to be excused from questions about the match-fixing scandal going on.

The others are referees Deogracious Opio and George Nkurunziza and six players invluding Gaddafi FC duo Andrew Waiswa and Yaya Mahad Kakooza, Saleh Maganda Saleh (Calvary FC), Franco Oringa Franco (Northern Gateway FC) and Mwima Abdallah (Ndejje University).

"I'm here to inform my fans and my lovely followers that I will not comment about what as been said to me ,let us wait for what they will say at the end of the suspension," Lwesibawa requested.

The decision to suspend the eight was taken by the Investigation Chamber of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee in compliance with Article 73 of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code.
