Pochettino acknowledged that the club will conduct a season review in the summer, he reminded everyone that he has a year left on his contract and intends to see it through.

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has shut down speculation about his future after their 2-0 victory over Tottenham, calling the rumors "stupid."

Pochettino acknowledged that the club will conduct a season review in the summer, he reminded everyone that he has a year left on his contract and intends to see it through.

He emphasized that the decision regarding his future does not lie in his hands but solely with the club.

The Argentine tactician's frustration stemmed from Chelsea's depleted squad, forced to field a team without any senior outfield substitutes due to injuries. Despite these challenges, they secured a win, further solidifying his belief in his ability to lead the "billion-pound project" at Chelsea.

Shifting the focus to the upcoming match against West Ham, Pochettino declared, "Enough with these types of rumors. We need to concentrate on securing a European spot."

This statement highlights his desire to move past the transfer noise and lead Chelsea towards achieving their goals for the season.

"If I have one more year on my contract here, and no one says nothing, suppose that I am going to be here –only if then we finish the season and someone says to me “ciao”.

"Because we don’t know at the moment. I suppose I have one more year on my contract and that I am going to be here. But enough about the stupid rumours. You need to ask the club if they want me to keep going or not.

"If you go there and you don’t compete, or your level is only 50 per cent, I think it is better with someone with less quality, maybe younger, but competing at their best, 100 per cent."
