Mia Mia believes he is knowledgeable enough to take over as the club’s head coach permanently.
“My tenure at KCCA FC is not over because this is my home, and I have always been KCCA FC,” Mayanja said in a post-match press conference.
“But I also think I am knowledgeable enough to become the head coach permanently.”

SUPL We lacked the consistency to challenge for the league title – Jackson Mayanja
Mayanja's former teammate Morley Byekwaso started the season as head coach but resigned in April after the side was dumped out of the Stanbic Uganda Cup by Soltilo Bright Stars.
“I have no problem if the club gets another person (coach), but I believe I can still do the job,” Mayanja added.
Mayanja who was in his second stint at the club oversaw eight league games at KCCA FC, picking up four wins, three draws, and one loss in as many games.
He, however, served a two-game touchline ban (Vs BUL and Express FC) for comments he made on match officials after KCCA FC’s 1-0 loss to Vipers.
The KCCA FC board will reconvene and decide on who will take over the reins at Lugogo ahead of next season.
