FOOTBALL Mbalangu's secret behind touchline antics

Blacks Power FC head coach Hussein Mbalangu is a tactically stout tactician as he has proven in the role at different sides, including at Mbarara City FC, Onduparaka FC and elsewhere.

His way of pushing instructions to his troops goes beyond the dressing room, gets more heat at the touchline and it's on extremely scarce occasions that you'll see him settle in his seat.

"It's nature, but also something I nurtured as I have to keep in touch with my players," said Mbalangu in an interview with Pulse Sports.

The tactician is the kind that will scream, jump, quarrel, instruct, pace around for the entire 90 minutes, and will be heard from every corner of the stadium.

"I stay with them (the players), give them that vibe and assert it that they're capable of managing the games."

"They feel the attachment. It's not a case of leaving them to battle alone, fight as I'm comfortable in my seat."

His demeanor has rubbed off at Blacks Power as they currently lie two places above the relegation zone in the Uganda Premier League with 12 points in 12th.

Mbalangu has seen his side register important results recently against the league’s finest sides, including locking BUL FC to a one-all stalemate.

In the Uganda Cup round of 32, they held Wakiso Giants FC to a barren draw, before the latter eventually won in penalties 6-5.
