The K'Ogalo coach is cautious not to put too much pressure on the youngster shoulders.
Gor Mahia coach Jonathan McKinstry has commented on the form of youngster Benson Omala who is currently experiencing goal drought.
In the past three matches, it has been a torrid time in front of goal for Omala, who is still leading the FKF Premier League scoring charts with 19 goals.
Omala had a chance to get on the scoresheet on Sunday afternoon, but he missed from ten yards out when his shot went straight to the arms of the Kariobangi Sharks goalkeeper, although K'Ogalo managed to win the match 2-0 thanks to Peter Lwasa and Austin Odhiambo goals.
Coach McKinstry addressed fans' concern about Omala's performance and maintained his belief that the youngster will regain his scoring cleats.
"Omala's energy levels and what he has been looking to do has been the same, and he has been pushing hard.
It would be different if he were not getting chances; he is getting in possessions, and he obviously had few options against Sharks; against Vihiga a few weeks ago, he could have two or three goals.
Last week against Sofapaka, he hit the post, and he has another good chance. So it is not that he is not getting opportunities, and that is what is about being a striker; you get into the right places, and sometimes that happens you don't get the luck, but he is doing everything I want him to do. We are winning matches, and that is the most important thing," McKinstry told journalists.

FOOTBALL Firat explains reason for axing Benson Omala from Harambee Stars squad
Omala will not travel with the team to face Iran in Tehran.
The former Uganda national team mentor admits that the former Western Stima player maybe have been under immense pressure, and fans shouldn't place even more pressure on his shoulders.
"In the first half of the season, the question was, 'Are you worried that Benson is the only person scoring?' Now the question is, 'Are you worried that Benson is not scoring?'
But it is a team effort because Omala is the first savior. He will happily assist someone and play a supporting role as long as the team wins. So it is all about the eleven players out there," McKinstry concluded.
