Chelsea's affiliate club Strasbourg are about to land a major talent for only €1.5 million
Highly rated 17-year-old winger Rayane Messi is on the verge of completing a move to Strasbourg, with the youngster set for medical tests at the club.
Messi set to sign for Strasbourg
According to reports by Fabrice Hawkins, Messi is currently undergoing a medical examination at Strasbourg and is expected to sign a three-year contract with the BlueCo-affiliated club.
Messi, who has been hailed as one of the brightest talents to emerge from the Dijon FCO academy, caught the attention of several clubs with his performances, and despite his young age, he has already made four professional appearances for Dijon, scoring a goal in the process.
His potential has made him a hot prospect in the transfer market, with Strasbourg fighting off multiple clubs trying to sign the highly-rated talent.

Strasbourg’s were only able to capture Messi after beating out competition from other clubs, most notably Olympique de Marseille.
The southern French club was also linked to the talented winger but reportedly backed out due to Dijon’s asking price for a player with limited professional experience.
This hesitation allowed Strasbourg to swoop in and secure Messi’s signature for a reported fee of €1.5 million, including bonuses.
Born in Paris to a Cameroon-Sudanese father and Tunisian mother, Messi will have his pick of international teams to choose from but currently represents the nation of his birth at the youth level.
