MLS side have reportedly sent a formal offer to Kevin de Bruyne ahead of his proposed Manchester City exit.
MLS side Chicago Fire are now one of the frontrunners for the signature of Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, who is set to end his ten-year association with the club at the end of the season.
The 33-year-old released a statement weeks ago announcing that he would leave Manchester City this summer. The decision was unsurprising, as his game time has steadily waned in recent years due to injuries, and he has publicly flirted with the idea of leaving the club.

Fire’s interest
Last summer, not even Pep Guardiola could guarantee De Bruyne's continuation, as the Belgian had interest from Saudi-based clubs. However, he chose to continue.
With only 14 league starts this season, Guardiola revealed that the club opted against giving the former Chelsea midfielder a new contract; hence, he will leave this June, after six Premier Leagues and a Champions League title.

According to Fabrizio, MLS-based side Chicago Fire has now sent a formal proposal to the former Wolfsburg man and hopes to entice him with their exciting project.
Meanwhile, Chicago Fire recently held Lionel Messi and Inter Miami to a scoreless draw in their league fixture few days ago.
