Oduor scored a goal that will rack up the goal-of-the-season contendor highlights against his former club KCB on Tuesday.

Tusker FC winger Mike Oduor believes his first goal for the Brewers will help him kick on at the club and make him contribute more goals and assists “on a regular basis” for the Ruaraka based outfit.

Speaking in the aftermath of their league win over the same opposition on Tuesday at the Ruaraka grounds, Oduor was extremely elated after he scored what may have been arguably the goal of the season, as a fine shot from outside the box proved unstoppable for KCB keeper Bryne Omondi.

It was not a bad way to open his account for the Brewers, although it did come at the expense of tormenting his former employers.

“My thought when I was outside the 18 was to swerve as soon as I got the ball,” he said, “ Even my former club knows that I am dangerous when given space outside the 18-yard box,” he added.

Odour started on the right wing in the first half, before switching to the left wing slot in the second half as an inverted winger, where he was able to cut inside on multiple occasions on his stronger right foot where he clearly looked a bigger threat on KCB.

“It is just a game situation. When playing on the right wing, I will obviously do a job to try and help the team, but on the left flank, the chances of being a threat are better. It is part of our gameplan to cause unpredictability to the opposition.”

The former Kariobangi Sharks and Wazito forward believes Tusker can make it two wins out of two against KCB when they face the Bankers in the Mozzart Cup this weekend.

“ We can beat them again and I promise that I will get a goal or an assist in the game!”
