Olise proved to be one of the best players as France failed in their quest for Olympic glory on home soil following a heartbreaking defeat to fellow Europeans Spain.
In an explosive final clash, France came from two goals down at 3-1 to force extra time following a 3-3 finish after regulation time.
However, super-sub Camello came off the bench to score two fantastic chips to settle the match 5-3 to give Spain another bragging rights in football after their Euro 2024 victory in Germany.
The home side France were forced to settle for second and silver medal, which did not go down well with Bayern Munich’s Olise who decided to take off his medal.
Consequently, on his return to Bavaria following the disappointment against Spain, Bayern moved to not only console him but congratulate their latest superstar for what was an impressive outing on his part.
Olise, who netted two goals and provided five assists including in the final against Spain, was presented with a lovely cake from his new club during his presentation to the club supporters as a new player.
In a related development, the 22-year-old has been told to learn some manners and grow up after taking off his silver medal at the Olympics.
Olise was disappointed with the manner of France’s defeat which left them with a silver medal, which he refused to wear on his neck during the presentation.
A photo of the Bayern winger without his medal went viral, drawing criticism from football fans around the world who took to social media to let the former Cyrstal Palace man understand that the Olympics is the one tournament where second place does matter.
