Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga has equaled his last season’s goal tally after netting his ninth goal of the campaign in Al Duhail’s 2-0 victory over Al-Wakrah on Friday at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium.
Karim Boudiaf opened the scoring for Al Duhail in the second minute before Olunga sealed the win with a well-taken goal in the 56th minute.
The former Gor Mahia striker not only secured the three points for his side but also brought him level with his 2023/24 season total of nine goals, a tally that had placed him fifth in the top scorer's charts last season.
