The loss in Bungoma denied the Brewers a chance to extend their lead at the top.
Tusker FC needs mental strength in order to win the next Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) matches, according to midfielder Humphrey Mieno.
After an impressive run that saw them go to the top of the table, the Brewers were stunned by Nzoia Sugar FC during their last game at Sudi Stadium on Saturday.

FKFPL Thank the rains otherwise the margin would be huge - Babu to Tusker
The former Sony Sugar coach says his players were troubled by weather conditions in their Bungoma back yard despite the win.
After registering the defeat, which saw them drop to the second spot, Mieno now calls for mental strength.
"The game wasn't easy; we knew that from the beginning. We worked hard and tried to get all three points, but we could not," the experienced midfielder was quoted as saying on the club’s social media pages.
"I feel we were unlucky in front of goal mainly because we were not composed and couldn't take our chances.
"I think we just need to focus and be strong mentally because the games are many and coming very fast. We need to try and pick up maximum points in our upcoming encounters."
With only two points separating Tusker from log leaders Gor Mahia and Nzoia Sugar, who are third with three fewer points, the title race is pointing to a tight one.
Tusker’s ability to bounce back will be tested when they host title hopefuls KCB at Ruaraka on Wednesday.
