A supercomputer has given Arsenal just 26.6 percent of winning the league ahead of their clash against Tottenham despite being top of the league.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has brushed off the predictions of a supercomputer, which rates Arsenal's chances of winning the Premier League title at just 26.6 percent.

Despite the skepticism from the digital oracle, Arteta remains resolute in his belief in the team's potential to clinch their first league title in nearly two decades.

Throughout the season, Arsenal has often been placed as the third favorite to win the league, trailing behind perennial contenders Manchester City and Liverpool.

However, recent developments have seen Liverpool's title aspirations falter, while Manchester City continues to apply pressure, sitting just a point behind Arsenal with a game in hand.

Addressing the computer's assessment in his pre-Tottenham press conference, Arteta humorously remarked, "I don’t know what to say, hopefully we can trick that computer and make it a bit higher! Maybe it needs to upload the software, we need to help it to upload the software, or give it more tools. Hopefully we can change that."

When asked about the significance of not winning the title in terms of progress, Arteta remained focused on the present, asserting, "I'm not thinking about that. At the moment I’m just thinking about how we’re going to win it!"

Reflecting on past encounters, particularly the defeat at Tottenham two years ago, Arteta quipped, "My memory is failing me, I’m more focused on the one last year, that’s more positive!"

Arteta provided insight into his approach to upcoming matches, emphasizing the importance of preparation and strategy.

"There are certain games that you imagine the type of game you are going to play and you try to explain to the players - this is what I think is going to happen, and why it’s going to happen, and this is how we can provoke things happening as well. Then it's about trying to make it happen, and then using it."

Despite the narrowing gap at the top of the table, Arteta remains optimistic about Arsenal's title chances.

"Now we are there. We have to look at ourselves and try to perform in the best possible way to win our matches and I can’t wait to see what happens. That’s what we discuss," he affirmed.

As speculation arises about whether it's now a two-horse race for the title, Arteta remains cautious, acknowledging the unpredictability of the Premier League.

"I don’t think so. I think this league is tremendously demanding and there can be still a lot of turns. We all know how difficult it is to win games in this league."
