After a 2-2 draw at Liverpool, the Gunners will make a short trip to face West Ham on Sunday.

Mikel Arteta has revealed mixed injury news on William Saliba and Eddie Nketiah ahead of Arsenal’s match against West Ham United at the London Stadium on Sunday.

While Nketiah is back after recovering, Saliba remains sidelined with the same back injury that has seen him miss the past three matches. Nketiah has been out since Arsenal’s 4-0 win against Everton on Wednesday, March 1.

"William is still not available. He’s progressing well, and we are hopeful we’ll have him available in the next few weeks, but we’ll have to see," Arteta revealed.

"He’s not far from starting to do that [return to training]. Obviously, we need to be cautious because of the injury, but he’s evolving well.

"Eddie is back and is fully fit now. We want our players to be as fit and available as possibleo be as fit and available as possible. We’ve had some issues, especially in the last few months, with some important players. We just want to have everybody fit and available to help the team."

As the Gunners look forward to their match against the Hammers, Arteta remains unbeaten against David Moyes. He has won five and drawn once in the six previous encounters with the former Manchester United manager.

"It’s more than respect, I think it’s admiration," the Spaniard revealed. "I loved playing under him.

"I would have gone through a brick wall for him when he was my manager, as everybody would in that squad."

Moyes and Arteta were together at Everton, and the latter has recalled the times he used to play under his former manager.

"He asked me to play in positions that I’ve never played in my life," said Arteta.

"The way he challenged me, but at the same time the way he gave me support, love, and care - it was the right balance, and it’s what I needed, and he got the best out of me. So, he was really, really helpful."

West Ham head into the weekend in 14th position in the table, just three points above the relegation zone.
