Benjamin Mendy has filed a claim against Manchester City for not paying his £100k-a-week salary during the sexual assault allegations which he was cleared of.
Mendy is seeking to rebuild his career with Ligue 1 side Lorient after being cleared of carrying out sex attacks on two women at his mansion.
He was cleared after three hours of deliberation by a jury at Chester Crown Court in last July. Mendy broke down in the dock afterwards before saying he was 'delighted' with the not guilty verdicts.
Mendy had previously been cleared of six counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, relating to four young women.
The alleged attacks, which Mendy denied, were claimed to have taken place at sex parties thrown by the star.
“I have no idea whose house I'm rocking up to, I got inside, his whole family is in there, Mendy is in there and they're all drunk,” Ali-Rose told the Reality Check podcast.

Mendy had been asked about his attitude to having sex with women he did not know particularly well during his court case, with the star having admitted it was “easy” to have sex with multiple women because of his 'status' as a footballer.
“I was direct about what I wanted and direct about what they wanted.
“At the time I was not thinking, like, if they could be upset. If they wanted sex and I wanted sex, it was fine. I was carrying on with my party.
