Bajaber was humpered by injury and was played out of position according to a family source. Making matters worse, Bajaber was not the right profile of player the team was keen to recruit.
"His time at Mitdjylland was hampered by a hamstring strain, and he was played out of position a bit, at right back. He wasn’t the profile they were looking for in terms of technical players. They were looking for physical specimens in terms of height, pace, & strength. But he was in the same trial group as Sporting’s Diomande," the family source said.

Harambee Stars Technical Bench Gets a Major Boost Ahead of World Cup Qualifiers
Former Kenya Police coach joins Harambee Stars as assistant to Benni McCarthy, boosting technical bench ahead of World Cup qualifiers.
Bajaber has blossomed into the player he is becoming largely because of his willingness to learn from mistakes.
"He (Bajaber) can score goals, an excellent finisher in that sense as we’re seeing, he could create chances with his through balls, he could play as an 8 because of his positional awareness and his aggression defensively," the source added.
Bajaber can play in a number of positions but he needs to develop stamina and physicality needed to thrive in the physical FKF Premier League.
"As an attacking midfielder, he is an excellent tackler and defender, and he could play as a winger because of his burst of speed and dribbling. However he needs to improve his physicality."
